With a winning-hungry mentality, our Bobcats in the baseball team continue to triumph in the Sun Conference! Our Bobcats ranked third in the Sun Conference preseason coaches poll. To start a successful season, our team beat Miami Gardens 3x, Benedictine- Mesa, Arizona Christian, giving us a record of 5 - 3. Against Arizona, Christian Yordani Carmona bounced back and went 4.1 innings and had nine strikeouts!

The St. Thomas University Baseball team tried to mount a comeback victory against Palm Beach Atlantic but ended up losing in the eleventh inning to the Sailfish. The baseball team was defeated in their midweek matchup 10 - 5. Kendry Noriega was the highlight for the Bobcats, going 3 - 4.

The St. Thomas University Bobcats are lacing up their sneakers for the much-anticipated Sun Conference! To start up the season, our men’s basketball team dug deep and got their first win in Sun Conference play against the Warner Royals. A great start for the season which would determine our success in winning in overtime against Southeastern Fire in our home. Later in the season, our Bobcats picked up their sixth straight victory, defeating the Warner Royals 72 - 58. Five members of their squad have received All-Conference honors! Josh Taylor, Cearius Warren, and Milton Matthews joined the First Team All-Conference, and Anthony Harris and Jordan Hernandez joined the Second Team. As the Men's Basketball team competed in the Sun Conference, they will face their crosstown rivals, the Florida Memorial University Lions.

We interviewed Sports Administration and this is what they said:

Rugby -
"I’m pumped to see where we finish this season. I have a gut feeling we can win nationals at D1AA. Crazy for such a young program to be thinking like that and I know people will think that’s arrogant but it’s just my level of confidence in this group of lads. The Boys hate it when I say “I know we will win today” because they feel that pressure immediately, but that’s just what I believe."

"Coming from the bottom of D2 to winning it all with so few players in season 1, then being told that we couldn’t be promoted. Ignoring the union’s decision and forcing them to change their mind with big preseason wins against teams in the division above us. It just makes me believe we can do anything we want. Uphill, into the wind, with everyone against us. We can achieve more because we have a special environment here at STU. The school has given us every tool we need to be successful. We have assistant coaches and volunteers who are 100% committed and bought in. We have a medical team that is available daily to help with recovery so we can train more. All the backroom staff recognize there’s a tidal change in College Rugby in Florida and STU is leading that change."

"The aim is Florida D1AA state champs and then those nationals’ finals a couple of weeks later. I know President Armstrong is keen on a TEAM national championship for the school. I’d like Rugby to be the first at this school to achieve that goal."

Current Record: 3 - 0
