4/7/2026

SUMMARY:
On the night of September, 14th, 16-year-old Alexis "Lexi Carter, who had run away from home two weeks earlier, was found near the body of Eric Dalton, a 32-year-old man. Dalton was stabbed once in the chest behind an abandoned warehouse on Hudson Street.

Police found Lexi hiding behind a dumpster approximately 40 feet from the scene, holding a backpack with a folding knife inside. She was immediately detained.

The prosecution argues that Lexi intentionally killed Dalton during an argument. The defense argues that Lexi acted in self-defense, fearing for her life when Dalton cornered her and attempted to harm her.

The case has no video footage. The trial relies heavily on witness testimony, forensic evidence, and credibility.
