Our Magazine Executive Board for 2023-2025
Jonathan Sherman
President
Jonathan Sherman is an Editor and the President of the Eye of the Bobcat magazine at STU. He is fiercely passionate about reigniting an interest in reading and writing among the students at St. Thomas and hopes the submission system, along with his reading recommendations, will help influence students towards literature and the English major. As a sophomore, he hopes the next few years prove successful in this regard and is looking forward to learning more about what inspires creativity in people.
Nadine Olmande-Mentor
Vice-President
Nadine Olmande-Mentor is a sophomore student at St. Thomas University. Her current major is a Bachelor of Arts in English/Writing Specialization. She aspires to be a Screen Writer for Film and Television shows as well as a Director. She plans to graduate with her Bachelors and Master’s for English as well as Film. Nadine is the Vice President and Editor for the Eye of the Bobcat magazine that is published by St. Thomas University. She was informed of the publication by its advisor, Professor Kelly Wolfe. Nadine decided to join in on the creation due to the outcome it would cause across campus.
Sofia Jahrmarkt
Secretary
Sofia Jahrmarkt is the Secretary of the Eye of the Bobcat magazine at STU. She is a very hard-working student-athlete and she’s an amazing addition to the team. Alongside playing women’s soccer and rugby, she loves to advocate her time to help others. She is a sophomore studying Sports Medicine and allied health hoping to become an athletic trainer. She is so excited to be a part of the team to create the magazine and to see what creative side students have!
Adam Perez-Pinon
Website Manager / Chief of Design
Adam Perez-Pinon is a Junior student double majoring in Communications and Media Studies & English. He is a multi-talented person passionate about pursuing a career in the performing arts world. Currently, he serves as the Website Manager and Chief of Design for STU's "Eye of the Bobcat" while also holding the roles of President and Set Designer for STU's Musical Theatre. Adam thrives on challenging himself, continually expanding and honing his diverse skill set and talents. He is currently working on bringing a new set design and a new musical to campus.
Abigail Sarmiento
Treasurer
Abigail Sarmiento is a first-generation high school graduate and a future college graduate. Her major is nursing, and she aspires to be a travel Registered Nurse or Midwife. Abigail is the treasurer of the Eye of the Bobcat magazine published by St. Thomas University. She was first informed about Eye of the Bobcat by a professor, who then recommended it to her due to her excellent performance in English. Initially, she was hesitant because she had such a busy schedule and wasn't sure where to fit the club into her schedule. However, after careful consideration and in an attempt to branch out and try something new, she attended a meeting and has been a member ever since.
